The Swain County Tourism Development Authority utilizes occupancy tax collections to facilitate a marketing plan that promotes tourism to Swain County. Swain County businesses that qualify as a tourism partner can apply for - and gain access to - their free listing(s) on the official tourism website for Swain County: ExploreBrysonCity.com, which is also accessible via ExploreSwainCounty.com.

Host Media at your Lodging Establishment
The Swain County TDA actively promotes public relations opportunities to create awareness of Swain County tourism. We are looking for lodging partners who would be willing to provide complimentary accommodations for visiting media, including magazine writers, travel writers, Instagram influencers, television, and other media outlets.
Our PR agency will thoroughly pre-qualify all media requests, and will only bring opportunities to us that are legitimate, affiliated with travel, and with a substantial following. If you sign up for this program, you will be added to a list of preferred lodging partners to be used exclusively by our PR agency. Once we approve a particular media visit, the PR agency will reach out to preferred lodging partners that fit the itinerary. You will be provided with the particulars and you then have the option to accept or decline the opportunity.

Host Media at your Restaurant/Brewery, Retail Store, or Outdoor Adventure/Outfitter
We are looking for tourism partners who would be willing to provide complimentary products and/or services for visiting media, including magazine writers, travel writers, Instagram influencers, television, and other media outlets. Our PR agency will thoroughly pre-qualify all media requests, and will only bring opportunities to us that are legitimate, affiliated with travel, and with a substantial following.
