Event Sponsorship Funding

The Swain County Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) supports county-wide and large-scale tourism events through Event Sponsorship funding. These sponsorships are designed to enhance events that attract visitors and generate overnight stays in Swain County.

Event Marketing Matching Grant

The SCTDA also offers a Marketing Matching Grant to support the promotion of events that drive visitation from outside the county. This program is available to individuals, non-profit organizations, and businesses hosting events that encourage overnight stays.

Eligible applicants may receive a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $1,000 for marketing expenses directly related to promoting their event. Reimbursement is provided after the event, and receipts are required prior to the release of funds.
