Grants and Sponsorships
Sponsorship Funding:
The Swain County Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) is always interested in opportunities to support and enhance county-wide and large-scale tourism projects & events held by tourism partners with sponsorship funding in the form of a Project or Event Sponsorship.
In order to be considered for a Project or Event Sponsorship, the following criteria must be met:

Take place within Swain County.

Be directly related to tourism: The project/event must primarily serve the overnight visitor. A visitor is defined as a tourist staying in overnight accommodations whose primary residence is over 50 miles away.

The local partner has the capability of being fully funded by themselves and other contributors in addition to SCTDA funding commitment.

Headed by a capable individual or organization coordinating all aspects of the project/event.

Sponsorship Guidelines and Application
Marketing Matching Grant:
In addition to Project or Event Sponsorships, the Swain County Tourism Development Authority strives to support individuals, non-profit organizations, and businesses who develop special events designed to promote lodging stays and visitation from outside the county with marketing funding in the form of a Matching Marketing Grant.
This matching grant will match up to $1000 in marketing funds used specifically to promote the event Receipts will be required prior to the release of funds.
