Bradley Fork Trail begins at the Smokemont parking area, running alongside the scenic Bradley Fork stream and the campground. Shortly after starting, a trail merges in from the right, but hikers continue straight; this side trail leads up to the Smokemont Church parking area. At roughly the quarter-mile mark, the Tow String Horse Trail joins from the right, and hikers may share the trail with horses along the way. The trail crosses three bridges as it follows the creek, with the third bridge spanning Chasteen Creek. From here, hikers can continue on Bradley Fork Trail, return to the parking area, or turn onto Chasteen Creek Trail to reach a waterfall.

Chasteen Creek Trail
Turning right onto Chasteen Creek Trail, hikers encounter a narrower path than Bradley Fork. Backcountry Campsite 50 is visible to the right, and the trail gradually inclines alongside the sound of Chasteen Creek. At 1.8 miles, hikers reach a “Y” and should go left. Shortly after, horse hitching posts appear, and a small trail leads to the Chasteen Creek Cascade—a beautiful waterfall tucked into the forest.

This combined hike along Bradley Fork and Chasteen Creek trails provides a serene, creekside experience with wooden bridges, gentle inclines, and the option to explore backcountry campsites or enjoy the cascading waterfall. With tranquil creek sounds, lush forest scenery, and a well-maintained trail, it’s ideal for hikers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a peaceful adventure in the Smoky Mountains.
